QHOUSE Bukit Jalil 港湾茶餐厅 is a charming Chinese restaurant nestled in the heart of Bukit Jalil, Kuala Lumpur, that offers a diverse and inviting menu catering to a broad range of palates.
Specializing in traditional Chinese cuisine with some delightful contemporary twists, QHOUSE Bukit Jalil is a treasure trove for lovers of comfort food and rich flavors. Among their highlights are the Mini Steamboat selections—such as the Japanese Miso Soup Pot (五花肉片, 猪肉丸, 青葱, 松菇, 豆腐, 玉米) and the Thai Tom Yam Soup bursting with shrimp, fish fillet, squid, crab sticks, and pork balls. Each pot is a cozy, savory experience, perfect for sharing or a satisfying solo meal. The depth of the broths, the balanced spices, and the tender ingredients come together to create an inviting warmth that is both soothing and invigorating.
For those craving a fusion twist, QHOUSE also offers Western delights like their Garlic Seafood Spaghetti, a fragrant and garlicky dish that brings together the ocean’s bounty with perfectly al dente pasta. The Grilled Pork Steak, served with your choice of mushroom or black pepper sauce, is another savory favorite, noted for its juicy, well-marinated cut paired with rich sauces that deepen the indulgence.
Vegetable lovers will appreciate options like the Vegetables Fried Mee Hoon or the comforting Cheese Baked Rice with Mushrooms, crowned with melted cheese that feels like a warm hug on a plate. These dishes strike a perfect harmony between lightness and heartiness, ensuring there’s something for every taste.
Dining at QHOUSE Bukit Jalil offers a casual yet inviting atmosphere that balances bustling activity with a welcoming vibe. Several diners have praised the variety and price point, emphasizing value without sacrificing quality. Kat Han Teng notes the special and reasonably priced desserts and drinks as memorable, while Simon Ong appreciates the affordable set lunches that add great value by including free drinks. The mix of indoor and outdoor seating options allows guests to tailor their experience, whether they prefer a lively ambiance or a relaxed meal.
While most guests find the food to be enjoyable and portions generous—Brandon Low especially enjoyed the hearty 辣子鸡 and herbal tea—there is some feedback on consistency and service. Some have pointed out room for improvement, such as ensuring cutlery cleanliness and addressing portion sizes or presentation to fully match the appetizing menu images. Nonetheless, the swift service and welcoming staff contribute positively to the overall experience, with staff interactions remembered warmly by many.
In essence, QHOUSE Bukit Jalil stands out as a welcoming local gem where traditional Chinese flavors meet modern casual dining sensibilities. Whether you’re drawn in by the expansive Mini Steamboat range, the fusion pasta dishes, or their comforting vegetable options, this spot promises a loyal following of food lovers who appreciate both quality and value in equal measure.

This place has lots of variety of food to offer, especially the desserts and drinks are all very special and reasonably priced. We love it. Food quality on our visit is not bad. I won't say great, but for the price, ambience, I would say it is a steal.

Had the 辣子鸡 and Herbal Tea. Food was good and the portion was generous. The herbal tea was a bit on the sweeter side. The cutlery was dirty though so maybe watch out for that. Otherwise, quite happy with everything

Updated : Refer to my update. Quality dropped tremendously this time. Very disheartened. Original content : Only 1 thing to take note is the placement of the chicken chop and Mushroom soup in the menu. Check the item number to ensure you got the right number for your order. Their service is very fast so there is almost no time for a do over or correction. We wanted to order mushroom soup and accidentally wrote the code for chicken chop because of how the number is placed in the menu. Immediately upon receiving the order sheet, I saw the mistake and sent to correct it only to be told kitchen already cooked the food. Super efficient and fast. Lucky my family are big eaters.

Needs no introduction here as there's quite a few branches around for awhile. So overall are they good in this outlet, well not bad as in there's still room for improvements and here's why. First up, the Cantonese Style Shrimp Rice. Basically it's Braised Rice "Mun Fun" but the difference here is the rice is Egg Fried Rice. Taste wise is good but lacking in ingredients like some vegetables and the sauce gets too watery fast, near soup like in a couple of minutes. Thicker would have been perfect as in "Wat Tan Hor" or "Yin Yong" like. Fried Rice with Basil Leaves and Bacon is quite nice, good wok hei, flavourful and fragrant from the Basil Leaves. Less oily would have been nicer. Drinks is not bad. Overall still a good place for variety and nice environment.

Tried out their Asam Fish after looking at their photo (see photo). What came out was less desirable as compared to the photo, a let down there. I understand we cannot get exactly but somewhat close would be good but… Anyway, we told them about it but they did not do anything. So we asked them to add on more Kuah which they did. Taste wise, it’s above average but the portion is not much, at least not as per the photo. Would i come back? Well, I’m still ok to come back to try other food but will not be a priority.
